Rob van Son is a senior consultant with a broad knowledge of IT architecture, ICT infrastructure and telecommunications. He has a lot of experience in the telecom industry. In his assignments as ICT consultant and IT architect he has gained experience in BSS/OSS environments for implementation of service fulfillment and service assurance process of DSL access, Fiber to the Home and Ethernet access services
For his assignment at KPN, Rob was responsible for the development of online customer interaction interfaces (web-gui) and Business-to-Business interfaces (web-services) for the order-intake, information services and service requests.
For the assignment at Netherlands Airport Consultants, Rob was responsible for the ICT Architecture of the passenger terminal buildings of the new International Airport of Mexico City. He developed a high available SDN-based Campus Area Network architecture for the new airport passenger terminal building and a redundant datacenter infrastructure for hosting airport applications.

Rob was a guest lecturer at the Academy Masters & Professional Courses of the Hague University and conducted courses on developments in broadband access, next generation converged networks, software defined networking and network functions virtualization.
